CPSG Chair honored with the Saint Louis Zoo Conservation Award

 

Dr. Onnie Byers, Chair of CPSG, was awarded the 2018 Saint Louis Zoo Conservation Award at the 27th Annual Marlin Perkins Society Celebration, in recognition of her dedication and amazing contribution to saving wildlife worldwide. Onnie's leadership has elevated the effectiveness of species conservation planning and has been instrumental in the organization, design, and facilitation of planning workshops all over the world.
 

Onnie has worked closely with Saint Louis Zoo, participating in the strategic planning for the WildCare Institute, as well as planning for the hellbender salamander and for the American burying beetle, as featured in CPSG's book Second Nature

About the Award

The Saint Louis Zoo Conservation Award is presented by the Saint Louis Zoological Park Commission to recognize the achievements of someone who has contributed to the understanding and appreciation of wildlife throughout his or her lifetime.
