María is a biologist and limnologist by training, but she has been working in the field of marketing & communications for 5+ years now. However, her passion for nature conservation has remained her guiding purpose. Her passion for communicating science in innovative ways has led her to roles from freelancing to industry, where she merges her love for writing, art, and technology to create strategic digital content and stories that can inspire people into action around biodiversity, climate change, and STEM education.

María is also the Communications Officer at Amphibian Ark.
